biography:
André Horbach received his diploma degree in mathematics in 2008 from the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern. The topic of his diploma thesis was the application of spherical splines and wavelets to the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation, supervised by HDoz. Dr. Volker Michel.
Since 2008, he has been a PhD student at the Geophysics section at LMU Munich and has worked on modelling the Earth’s gravity field, especially with the help of mantle circulation models, supervised by Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Bunge.
