Research interests lie in the analyis of data from satellite gravimetry missions, their combination with terrestrial data and data from other satellite missions, such as satellite altimetry, as well as their application in earth sciences.
biography:
Prior to his Munich appointment he served on the Netherlands Institute for Space Research (SRON) for seven years in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He is responsible for the scientific pre-processing of the gravity gradient data of ESA's satellite gravity mission GOCE. He completed his PhD in 2000, which he did at the University of Technology Delft, The Netherlands.
