biography:
Dr. Günter Strunz received his diploma degree in geodesy in 1984 and his Ph.D. in remote sensing in 1992 both from the Technische Universität München (TUM). From 1984 to 1993 he worked as a research scientist at the Department of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing at the TUM. He joined DLR in 1993 as deputy department head and research team leader in remote sensing applications. He has been a university lecturer at the TUM in Remote Sensing and GIS since 1999 and was appointed as a professor in 2007.
