biography:
Michael Schmitt was born in Munich in 1984. In March 2009 he graduated from the TUM (Technische Universitaet Muenchen) with a Dipl.-Ing. (Univ.) degree in geodesy and geoinformation. Since May 2009 he has been a scientific collaborator at the department of Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing of the TUM, where he is working on the topic "Reconstruction of urban surface models from airborne InSAR data of different viewing directions".
His main interests are the geometric aspects of optical and SAR remote sensing imagery as well as adjustment theory and parameter estimation.
