Prof. Seitz's research is focussed on the analysis and geophysical interpretation of observations of geometrical and gravimetrical space techniques. Time series of parameters which are derived from these data are influenced by large-scale redistributions of masses in the Earth system. A simultaneous analysis of redundant and complimentary observations allows for drawing conclusions on individual causative forces within and between the components of the Earth system. Their temporal variations provide an insight into dynamic processes and the effects of global change.
