ESPACE Student Attending Conference in India

The ESPACE master student Xiaoxiang Zhu has received the NASA Astrobiology Institute Travel Grant to the 2007 Space Generation Congress (September 20-22, 2007) and 58th International Astronautical Congress (September 24-28, 2007) in Hyderabad India for her interest in pursuing Astrobiology.
As a delegate of 2007 Space Generation Congress, Ms.Zhu worked in MoonMars Workshop Space Transportation Technical Paper Competition project team which objects to develop and implement by 2008 an international, student/young professional reward-based competition for the most innovative idea in the field of space transportation as expressed in a short paper. Her main work was together with other participants to develop: general rules and prizes for competition, specific time table for next 1.5 year, presentation describing project, initial flyer, initial fundraising plan and initial list of potential judges.
As a delegate of 58th International Astronautical Congress, MS.Zhu presented presentation describing MoonMars Workshop Space Transportation Technical Paper Competition during that conference. She also attended many plenary events and technical sessions.
